She got her BA degree from the department of Electrical Engineering at Tsinghua University in 1991, got her MS degree from the department of Electrical Engineering at Tongji University in 1994, got her PhD in Control Science and Control Engineering from the department of Electrical Engineering at Tongji University in 2004. From September 2005 to March 2006 she was a visiting scholar of the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) to participate in the Teaching Sciences in English Faculty Development Program supported by CSC. From October 2012 to September 2013, she is a senior visit scholar in UCSD, researching in the EEG signal processing and BCI.
